When Lisa van Rossem—the sister of older brother Joris and better known as Metejoor—participated in The Voice of Flanders in 2016, Joris developed a musical itch and met producer Hans Francken. Francken was immediately impressed by his voice, marking the beginning of their long collaboration. His debut single, "Ik hou van jou," earned him a nomination for "Best Breakthrough" on Radio 2 Zomerhit. Subsequent singles also enjoyed high rotation on national radio, earning him opening slots for artists like Clouseau and Niels Destadsbader. As if these incredible experiences weren't enough for his budding career, Metejoor earned a nomination for "Radio 2 Zomerhit" two years in a row with the reggae track "Horizontaal" and the sultry "Het beste aan mij (ben jij)." In 2021, Metejoor is a constant presence in the charts, often at number one. It's high time for a debut album packed with hits. Featuring two successful duets with Dutch singers Babet ("One in a Million") and YouTube phenomenon Emma Heesters ("Rendez-Vous"), as well as "Happy to See You," "How Could I Be So Stupid," and the new single "She Means It." Metejoor's self-titled debut album is going to be a smash, and Metejoor herself is definitely a keeper!
