Kensington
Since its formation in 2005, Kensington has become the biggest rock band in the Netherlands. No other band has performed as often in the largest concert hall (Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam) in the Netherlands. The band even sold out the adjacent Johan Cruijff ArenA, the only Dutch band ever to do so. They won the Popprijs in 2017, won several 3FM Awards and MTV Awards, and were honored with an Edison Pop lifetime achievement award in 2023.
After original singer Eloi Kensington left, the remaining band members Casper Starreveld, Jan Haker, and Niles Vandenberg were convinced they wanted to continue with the band. Enter Jason Dowd. A mutual American friend asked the Louisiana-born, Los Angeles-based singer to send Casper, Niles, and Jan a demo, which really made an impression. His voice and charisma immediately impressed the rest of the band. Niles: "That American just came out of nowhere." Jan adds: "He turned out to be the perfect match." Jason: "I've always wanted to create beautiful things, and I've found a group of guys who want that too." Casper: "What are we waiting for? We've found the right guy!"
Kensington is back. Full of energy, passion, and drive, plus new music that invites everyone to sing along. And this is just the beginning. Jason: "I think we're on the same wavelength, it feels like a new season, and everything we've created perfectly reflects who we are."
