Metejoor, until two years ago the enthusiastic teacher Joris Van Rossem from Vosselaar, is incredibly popular and has been a fixture on the charts for several years. In 2021, Metejoor's debut album was released, which has since gone platinum and has been at the top of the Ultratop charts for almost two years. The album features the smash hits "1 Op Een Miljoen," "Rendez-vous," "Ze Meent Het," and "Dit Is Wat Mijn Mama Zei" (This Is What My Mama Said). Metejoor is also still soaring with "Wat Wil Je Van Mij," a duet with Dutch singer Hannah Mae. The song has since gone double platinum, making it one of the biggest hits in Flanders. This single also had a major breakthrough in the Netherlands. With "Wat Wil Je Van Mij," Metejoor became the fifth Flemish singer to ever have a Dutch-language top 10 hit there. Now, Metejoor has released his second album, "Joris," a deeply personal record. The lead track "Eigen Schuld" (Own Guilt) is a true power ballad that reaches deep into the soul. Besides numerous new songs, the album also features familiar hits like "Wat Wil Je Van Mij" (What Do You Want From Me) and "Kijk Ons Nou" (Look At Us Now), a song featuring Dutch singer Snelle. The "Laat Ons Een Bloem" (Love For Music) tracks, with which Metejoor wrapped up the summer of 2023, and "Schaduw" (Shadow), a collaboration with his sister Lisa, also feature on the album.
