The Carnegie Hall Concert is a previously unreleased recording of a historic concert Alice Coltrane gave in 1971 as a bandleader with Pharoah Sanders, Archie Shepp, Jimmy Garrison, Cecil McBee, and Ed Blackwell. The production was handled by Sid Bernstein, known for promoting the Beatles' first US concert. It was recorded on multi-track for Impulse!, but has never been released before.
