When Supersister was revived in 2019 with the CD/LP 'Retsis Repus' and the documentary 'The Wizard of Dutch Pop,' it was questionable whether this was a line that could be continued.
After several short tours and special concerts with the Residentie Orchestra, among others, the band recently surprised their old-guard fans with the CD/LP "The Elton Dean Sessions." And now, a brand new album, "Nancy Never Knew," is ready for release in early 2025.
A new studio album from the now-famous 'super trio' Leon Klaasse (drums), Rinus Gerritsen (bass), and original Supersister Robert Jan Stips. Stips: "This album is entirely in line with both the 'psychedelia' from which the band emerged in the late sixties, and that of the very own, characteristic pop music that Supersister produced on many legendary albums. The club tour associated with this release will take place in April and May 2025, during which the trio will perform both famous old work and sparkling new work live.
