"El Salvador" is Sef's fourth album and was described by 3voor12 as "a very cheerful record. Feel-good spring music full of bossa nova guitars, whistling, and even a good old-fashioned singalong." The album is known for the songs "Witte Sokken" (White Socks), "Oceaan" (Ocean) with Gerson Main, and "El Salvador" with Willem. In addition to the original album on LP1, LP2 contains the live recordings of his performance at Paradiso Amsterdam, where he played "El Salvador" in its entirety with his El Salvador ensemble.
