The LP 'Eenzame Kerst' (Lonely Christmas) was released in 1977, shortly after André Hazes' debut 'Zo Is Het Leven' (That's Life), and featured the hit single of the same name, which reached number 5 in the Dutch Top 40 and number 1 in the National Hit Parade. André's versions of "Jochie Met Een Trommeltje" (Little Drummer Boy), "De Heilige Stad" (The Holy City), "Maria's Kind" (Mary's Boy Child), and the compelling "Moeder's Brief (Letter From An Old Mother To Her Boy Die In De Nor Zit)" demonstrate his timeless sentimental songs in the Dutch language. This edition of 'Eenzame Kerst' is pressed on gold vinyl.
