More than six years after her debut, Roxeanne Hazes is releasing her long-awaited new album. An album so long in the making can rightly be called a "difficult second album." "I didn't want to rush into this album. But I never expected it to take this long. I often thought I was almost there, only to realize I had to dig deeper and that there was more potential," says Roxeanne.
"De Tijd Gaat Mooie Dingen Doen" is a hopeful album that celebrates the past few years. "This album truly reflects all those highs and lows. Clichés like 'an album as a diary and therapy' are entirely applicable in this case. I sing about love, but also about saying goodbye. There are songs about friendship, fears, escape, self-discovery, and much more. I'm making this album primarily for myself, but now I especially hope that others can find strength, recognition, and joy in it."
