With 1978’s Acoustics, Tony Rice unveiled his groundbreaking new band, The Tony Rice Unit. Led by the bluegrass guitar virtuoso, the group refused to be bound by the constraints of any genre and combined elements of jazz, country, new wave, and more. The result was a sound that would later be known as “New Acoustic.” This pressing features (AAA) lacquers cut by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio and has been pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing.
