KARPEH is the deeply personal Blue Note debut of producer and multi-instrumentalist Joshua Karpeh, aka Cautious Clay. Through themes of growth, intimacy, and heritage, he delves deeply into his jazz influences and showcases his musicality. He is joined by a wide range of fellow musicians, including prominent figures from modern jazz such as guitarist Julian Lage, trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire, saxophonist Joshua Crumbly, drummer Sean Rickman, singer Arooj Aftab, and his uncle, bassist Kai Eckhardt.
