Paris-born Canadian pianist Bruce Liu won the renowned Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 2021. On this album, he effortlessly explores the vibrant soundscapes of three completely different composers—Rameau, Ravel, and Alkan—and thus traverses 200 years of French piano music. Regarding the title, "Waves," he says: "The sea is always changing, just like my approach to the music when I play. It's never fixed."
