Demi Lovato

American singer, songwriter, and actress Demi Lovato is one of the many stars to emerge from the creative incubator that is Disney Channel. She was born Demetria Devonne "Demi" Lovato on August 20, 1992. Initially, she became known primarily as an actress. Demi Lovato starred in series such as Barney & Friends, As the Bell Rings, and the two musical films Camp Rock. The latter also yielded her first hit: "This Is Me," featured on the soundtrack of the first installment of Camp Rock.

She continued to act later in life, appearing in hugely popular series like Glee (2013-2014) and Will & Grace (2020). However, Demi Lovato increasingly chose to focus on music. In 2008, she released her debut album Don't Forget  The album was very well received. Her fame as an actress did the rest. The album shot into the charts worldwide. The success continued with the albums Here We Go Again (2009), Unbroken (2011), Demi (2013), Confident (2015), and Tell Me You Love Me (2017). In 2017, she also co-produced Beyond Silence, a documentary about three people struggling with various mental health issues.

Shortly after, it became known that the hectic life as a star was also taking a heavy toll on her. Demi Lovato changed management and took a long hiatus to rediscover herself. She returned with the powerful album "Dancing With The Devil... The Art Of Starting Over" (2021). It featured guest appearances from Noah Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Sam Fischer, and Saweetie, among others. Her seventh album also demonstrated the singer's continued growth as a composer and vocalist in recent years. This was evident again on her follow-up album, "Holy Fvck" (2022), while simultaneously returning to the rock roots of her early albums. The guest list, featuring Yungblud, Royal & The Serpent, Sam Ellis, Oak, and Lil Aaron, is once again impressive. More importantly, Demi Lovato is happy again, which she says will also be evident on her next album. "It'll have nothing but love songs and sexy songs because I'm so comfortable in my own skin," she said. In 2025, she will also be seen in the new feature film Tow, opposite Rose Byrne and Dominic Sessa.
