Pianist and composer Paul Cornish previously appeared on Blue Note in Joshua Redman's band. With "You're Exaggerating!", he makes his own powerful and lyrical debut on the label. The album features original Cornish songs performed by a trio featuring bassist Joshua Crumbly and drummer Jonathan Pinson, with a special guest appearance by guitarist Jeff Parker. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Cornish is an alumnus of the prestigious High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, which produced jazz greats such as Jason Moran, Robert Glasper, Eric Harland, Kendrick Scott, Chris Dave, Walter Smith III, James Francies, and others.
