Prelusion is the debut album by jazz musician and later R&B artist Patrice Rushen. Originally released in 1974, it was the first of three albums she would record for Prestige Records. This release consisted primarily of instrumental jazz, most notably on the tracks "Haw-Right Now," "Shorties Portion," and "Puttered Bopcorn." The project also features collaborations with legendary saxophonist Joe Henderson.
