"The Cat" is jazz musician Jimmy Smith's 1964 album. A remarkable release, it reached number 12 on the Billboard 200. Featuring Smith on the Hammond B-3, this set includes some tasteful big-band arrangements by Lalo Schifrin. The great organist's otherworldly playing is heard on a variety of blues-oriented material.
