Tenor saxophonist Curtis Amy's second Pacific Jazz album, "Groovin' Blue," was a swinging date with drummer Frank Butler. It was also one of the first recordings with vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson. The band is completed by trumpeter Carmell Jones, pianist Frank Strazzeri, and bassist Jimmy Bond.
This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed onto 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on sleeve.
