"4 1/2" is an interim album between "Hand.Cannot.Erase" and his next studio album. The six-track album is once again produced and mixed by Wilson himself. Adam Holzman, Nick Beggs, Guthrie Govan, Dave Kilminster, Marco Minnemann, Chad Wackerman, Craig Blundell, and Theo Travis showcase their skills on "4 1/2." Ninet Tayeb takes a special role, providing vocals on a new version of Porcupine Tree's "Don't Hate Me."
