In 1987, De Dijk experienced their definitive breakthrough with their fourth album, "Wakker In Een Vreemde Wereld" (Awake In A Strange World). It was the band's first album recorded for their new label, Mercury Records. The album featured the hit singles "Dansen Op De Vulkaan" (Dancing On The Volcano) and "Mag Het Licht Uit" (Let The Light Go), two songs that have since become indispensable to the band's extensive oeuvre. For the first time since its original release, "Wakker In Een Vreemde Wereld" is now released on LP, including a lyrics insert. "Awake In A Strange World" is De Dijk's fourth studio album, first released in 1987. The album includes hits like "Dansen Op De Vulkaan" (Dancing On The Volcano) and "Mag Het Licht Uit" (Should the Light Be Turned Off). The cover artwork features a drawing by band member Nico Arzbach. This 2024 reissue is on black vinyl and includes an insert with lyrics.
