Djesse Vol. 1 is Jacob Collier's first album in the Djesse series. He collaborated with the Metropole Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley. The album is a journey through all musical genres and features contributions from international artists such as British singer Laura Mvula, Moroccan musician Hamid El Kasri, and the American a cappella group Take 6. Collier is at the helm as writer, producer, arranger, and vocalist. This reissue of the album marks the first time Djesse Vol. 1 is available on colored vinyl.
