"Red Thread" is the debut album by Drenthe singer-songwriter Hannah Mae. The album includes her hits "Waterdicht," "Wat Wil Je Van Mij" (with Metejoor), and "Ik Wil Dat Je Liegt" (with Maksim).
Hannah Mae (Emmen, 1998) made her breakthrough at the end of 2019 with her debut single 'Back To You'.
The single became a huge radio hit, partly thanks to its use in a PLUS commercial.
Things moved quickly after that. Many performances and writing sessions followed, after which Hannah decided to switch to Dutch. That decision proved to be the right one. More than ever, Hannah is connecting with her audience with personal lyrics that are relatable to all ages.
Hannah on the album's title track: "Red Thread is about a feeling of doubt and uncertainty; do I still stand by the choices I make, or am I living on autopilot? I think everyone experiences decision stress and other people's expectations at some point, no matter how old you are. I've personally discovered that it takes time to find your path in life. Music has always been the common thread in my life, but it took me quite a while to embrace the dream of fully committing to music. Now that I've dared to make that choice, I want everyone to sometimes take a moment to find what they're looking for again."
In recent years, Hannah has scored several gold and platinum albums with her songs. She has also repeatedly reached the top of the charts and has been heard frequently on Dutch (and Belgian) radio. Despite her immense success, Hannah remains her down-to-earth self and enjoys being on stage with her band the most.
