Saxophone master Dexter Gordon had already been living in Europe for several years when he returned in 1965 to record his final Blue Note album, "Gettin' Around." This sublime set features unique instrumentation, with Dexter's tenor horn holding the spotlight, accompanied by nuanced accompaniment from Bobby Hutcherson, Barry Harris, Bob Cranshaw, and Billy Higgins.
This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
