At the heart of violinist Ray Chen's album "Player One" is Korngold's Violin Concerto. With it, he pays tribute to the composer's profound impact on Hollywood and the evolution of film music. Chen presents Korngold's classical masterpiece through the prism of his personally composed themes from the worlds of television (Squid Game), anime (Naruto, The Promised Neverland), film (How to Train Your Dragon), and gaming (The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon). The album was recorded in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Cristian Macelaru.
