Born in Canada on March 1, 1994, Justin Bieber is one of the biggest pop stars of our time, having sold 150 million albums. The singer has won every music award there is. He made his spectacular breakthrough with his debut album, My World 2.0 (2010), after which he further expanded his global success with the Christmas album Under the Mistletoe (2011) and the mainstream albums Believe (2012), Purpose (2015), Changes (2020), and Justice (2021). He announced his seventh album at the end of 2024. Over the years, he has grown from a typical teenage star into a fully-fledged artist. Over the course of his career, which now spans more than 15 years, he has collaborated with peers such as Future, Lil Wayne, Billie Eilish, David Guetta, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, and Skrillex. In 2017, he was one of the headliners at the Pinkpop festival in Landgraaf.

Even as a child, Justin Bieber dreamed of becoming a pop star. He drew inspiration from the successes of Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder, among others. Later, he also cited Justin Timberlake, Craig David, Kanye West, and Usher as artists who shaped him. The world first caught a glimpse of him around 2007 when he started posting videos on YouTube covering pop and R&B hits. Thanks to these videos, Justin Bieber was discovered by manager Scooter Brown, who eventually landed him a contract with the record giant Island. Things moved quickly after that.
