Gracie Abrams
Born on September 7, 1999, Gracie Madigan Abrams became fascinated with pop music at a young age. She was only eight when she wrote her first song. Her main influences were vintage acts like Joni Mitchell, Elvis Costello, and Simon and Garfunkel. Later, she was also inspired by artists like James Blake, The 1975, Taylor Swift, and Phoebe Bridgers. In 2019, she released her first single, "Mean It," followed by the EPs "Minor" and "This Is What It Feels Like." This catchy blend of folk, rock, and pop proved to have a large audience. This was further demonstrated in 2021 when she toured as a support act with the immensely popular singer Olivia Rodrigo.
In early 2023, Gracie Abrams released her debut album, Good Riddance. Her candid lyrics and the quality of the songs earned her widespread acclaim. Later that year, she appeared on a remix of Noah Kahan's "Everywhere, Everything," which debuted in the US charts. Her real breakthrough came in 2023 with her second album, The Secret of Us. One of the album's highlights was the track "US," on which she collaborated with one of her childhood heroes: Taylor Swift. That same year, Gracie Abrams was nominated for Best New Artist at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.
