Dean Lewis
Dean Lewis Grant Loany, the Australian singer-songwriter's full name, briefly considered becoming a professional gamer. However, he changed his mind after seeing an Oasis live DVD in 2005. Singer Liam Gallagher's stage presence made a deep impression on him. He was also influenced musically by the Britpop band. In the years that followed, the singer, born on October 21, 1987, wrote many songs and performed regularly. This earned him a local record deal, and in 2016, his debut single, "Waves," was released. It was a huge hit in his home country, but the song also garnered international attention when it appeared in popular TV series like Grey's Anatomy, Suits, Valor, Riverdale, and Magnum PI.
It laid the foundation for "Be Alright," a global mega-hit. The 2018 single definitively catapulted Dean Lewis to pop star status. A year later, he collaborated with Dutch DJ/producer Martin Garrix in Amsterdam, resulting in the track "Used To Love." New singles followed, such as "Falling Up," which addresses the negative aspects of social media. His second album, "The Hardest Love," was released in 2022. As the title suggests, "The Hardest Love" is about his struggles with life and love. His third album, The Epilogue, will be released in the fall of 2024. Another telling title. According to Dean Lewis, we should see it as the end of an era and the beginning of a new phase in his creative development.
