When Lisa van Rossem—the sister of older brother Joris and better known as Metejoor—contested The Voice of Flanders in 2016, Joris developed a musical itch and met producer Hans Francken. Francken was immediately impressed by his voice, marking the beginning of their long collaboration. His debut single, "Ik hou van jou," earned him a nomination for "Best Breakthrough" from Radio 2 Zomerhit. Subsequent singles also enjoyed high rotation on national radio, earning him opening slots for artists like Clouseau and Niels Destadsbader.

As if these amazing experiences weren't enough in this budding career, Metejoor earned a nomination for 'Radio 2 Summer Hit' two years in a row with the reggae track "Horizontaal" and the sultry "Het beste aan mij (ben jij)." In 2021, Metejoor is a constant presence in the charts, often reaching number one. High time for a debut album packed with hits, then. Including two successful duets with Dutch singers Babet ("Één op één miljoen") and YouTube phenomenon Emma Heesters ("Rendez-Vous"), as well as "Blij Om Jou Te Zien," "Hoe Kon Ik Zo Dom Zijn," and the new single "Ze meent het" (She means it).
