Mind Games – The Meditation Mixes (Crystal Clear Deluxe 3LP)

Limited edition 3-LP release of the 'meditation mix' from John Lennon's album 'Mindgames' on crystal clear vinyl.

The Mind Games Meditation Mixes are new, radically different, re -imagined mixes of John Lennon's classic song "Mind Games." The mixes were created by his son, Sean Ono Lennon. These nine new Meditation Mixes —though firmly rooted in John Lennon's original recording— claim their own space. They have all been significantly altered; slowed down and extended, sometimes to five or ten minutes, in one case even to thirty-three minutes.
 
The mixes are designed to overwhelm you; let them wash over you, they are meant for an immersive, relaxing, meditative and profound listening experience.
Four of the mixes are binaural, focusing on different brain waves: beta, delta, gamma, and theta. The tracks "Mind," "Space," "Spirit," and "Love" utilize the effect when the left and right ears perceive frequencies as a new frequency, activating the brain for a (scientifically proven) therapeutic effect.

Yoko Ono said of the original song: "John was trying to convey the message that we all play mind games . But if we all play them, why not give it a positive twist, a positive mind game?"

The Mind Games Meditation Mixes were produced by Sean Ono Lennon, mixed and engineered by Sam Gannon with assistance from Scott Holingsworth. The song promises to have a positive impact and offer a new experience in meditation.
