The Island In The Distance (20th Anniversary Deluxe Black 2LP)

Deluxe double LP edition celebrating the 20th anniversary of Boudewijn de Groot's "Het Eiland In De Verte" (The Island in the Distance). Originally released in 2004, the album includes the songs "Berlin," "Eternal Youth ," and "The Foundling of Ameland." LP2 includes the two bonus tracks "De Zwembadpas" (The Swimming Pool Pass) and "Het Einddoel" (The Final Goal), plus the live album "Andere Tour," recorded at the Royal Carré Theatre in 2002. This album was previously only available on CD during the 2002 tour.

 "Het Eiland In De Verte" has previously only been released on vinyl as part of a box set, and the live album "Andere Tour" has never been released on vinyl. Furthermore, the songs "Als Je Niet Meer Verder Kunt," "Leonardo," and "Kater" from the album, written for Rob de Nijs, are not included on Boudewijn's regular albums.

This anniversary edition contains all the lyrics of 'Het Eiland In De Verte' and new liner notes by Boudewijn de Groot. This edition also includes an insert with the liner notes from the original release of both albums.

The 2LP gatefold sleeve is pressed in a limited edition on 180-gram black vinyl.
