A quintessential Blue Note hard bop outing, Lou Donaldson’s 1960 album Sunny Side Up presented a winsome program of swinging standards and bluesy originals given deeply felt performances by a quintet with trumpeter Bill Hardman, pianist Horace Parlan, bassists Sam Jones and Laymon Jackson, and drummer Al Harewood.

This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
