Description

Released in 1977, Police & Thieves is Junior Murvin’s landmark debut album and a classic of roots reggae. Produced by the legendary Lee “Scratch” Perry at Black Ark Studio, the album blends deep reggae grooves with Murvin’s distinctive falsetto vocals. Featuring the iconic title track alongside songs such as “Roots Train” and “Lucifer,” it captures the social and political tensions of the era. Widely influential, Police & Thieves remains an essential reggae recording. Now in limited edition Gold vinyl.
