A year after Per Ongeluk, Pommelien Thijs's stunning debut album, a live version of the album is now available. Per Ongeluk Live, released on June 21, 2024, by Sony Music Belgium, is a collection of special live recordings that faithfully capture the infectious energy of Pommelien's shows. Relive hits like "Erop of Eronder," "Ongewoon," and "Zilver" as if you were jumping up and down in the front row again. Per Ongeluk Live features guest appearances by Flemish pop group Bazart ("Hou Mij Vast"), Dutch songwriter MEAU ("Droom Het Donker Weg"), and Pommelien's sister Kaat Thijs ("Kleine Tornado").
These releases not only bring back fond memories of last year's sold-out ENTERTAINMENT tour; they also make you look forward to the recently announced MORE ENTERTAINMENT shows in early 2025. With Per Ongeluk Live, Pommelien immortalizes her instant classics on stage and at festivals. "My first tour was incredibly fun, hence this souvenir! Thank you to my band and crew for the many kilometers and thanks to everyone who was there... your energy was unforgettable!" Pommelien Thijs is currently one of the most prominent Flemish artists. Per Ongeluk was a triumph on all levels: a collection of catchy songs full of zest for life, self-deprecation, and catchphrases that also make heavier topics discussable for everyone.
Continuity is a major common denominator in all the disciplines that Pommelien masters: as a celebrated musician, actress, and fashion designer, she tells a larger overarching story in which everything comes together.
Per Ongeluk recently reached platinum status. After winning three MIAs in 2023 (Solo Artist, Dutch-language, and Pop), Pommelien was once again a winner this year. She won a whopping five MIA awards: for Best Album (Per Ongeluk), Hit of the Year ("Op of Eronder"), Dutch-language Artist, Pop, and Solo Artist.
