"Can We Please Have Fun," as the title suggests, is a document of one of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands of our era breaking free, trying new things, and, yes, having fun. Recorded at Dark Horse Studios in Nashville and produced with new collaborator Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles, Florence + the Machine), the album showcases a new side of Kings of Leon. The new album sees the band harken back to their raw roots while simultaneously forging new paths. You hear a band that has reinvented itself and rediscovered its fun. They feel liberated from the pressure of not having to live up to everyone's expectations and have created the album they've always wanted to make. "It was the most fun record I've ever been a part of," says Caleb. "It's like we made ourselves musically vulnerable," adds Nathan. "I love it when a rock band isn't ashamed to admit that not every song has to be cranked up to 11."
