Among its standout tracks, “Reggae fi Peach” serves as a poignant tribute to Blair Peach, the New Zealand-born teacher and activist killed in London in 1979 during an Anti-Nazi League protest. The track exemplifies Johnson’s role as both poet and documentarian, addressing systemic injustice and giving voice to the Black British experience with clarity and urgency.

This special edition marks the first time Bass Culture will be pressed on orange vinyl, released as part of Reggae Week this summer.
