This covers nearly 25 years of Angela’s Bach recordings on Hyperion, from 1994 to 2018. Angela’s Bach Odyssey started in 1994 when Ted Perry, founder and then-director of Hyperion, first heard her in a recording of the Bach Inventions. Angela recounts what happened next: ‘I’ll take it!’ said Ted Perry over the telephone. ‘But you haven’t heard it yet!’ I exclaimed. ‘I don’t need to—I know it will be good’, was his reply. ‘But only if you agree to record the complete Bach.’
