"Daddy's Home" is St. Vincent's sixth studio album. The album was produced by Jack Antonoff (Taylor Swift, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, among others). In the winter of 2019, St. Vincent's father was released from prison after more than nine years, and the singer began writing the songs featured on "Daddy's Home." Her father's return and the musical influence he had on her as a parent were the main sources of inspiration for this album. Vinyl records from the early 1970s—which are part of her father's collection—particularly inspired St. Vincent.
