Seven years ago, Tamino unexpectedly became a star in his native Belgium. He won a major radio contest and was suddenly catapulted to all the major stages. He always expected to write intimate songs for a small audience, but he soon found himself playing in front of a large audience, including well-known fans like Radiohead's Colin Greenwood, such a fan, began touring and recording with Tamino. Two albums later, with nearly half a billion streams to his name, opening for Lana Del Rey & Mitski, and a collaboration with Angéle, he now plays to sold-out theaters and arenas in Europe, the US, Mexico, and the Middle East. On this new album, Tamino takes a more conceptual approach to songwriting. In his own words, he felt "a tremendous urge to build a metaphysical altar for what was lost. The end result, though sometimes eclectic, feels like the most harmonious record I've made yet, with all 10 songs tied together by a shared sense of honoring and letting go." Recorded in studios in Tamino's native Belgium and his new home in the US, he collaborated with longtime collaborator PJ Maertens, among others. He continues to bridge his musical heritage and ancestors with contemporary, classical influences, with his songwriting and transcendental vocals taking center stage.
