For the first time, Deutsche Grammophon is releasing a "Best of" album featuring the finest works by the prolific Max Richter. For this double album, the composer himself selected works from his acclaimed solo albums, as well as his most important film creations (The Leftlovers, Black Mirror, Hostiles, Marie Queen of Scots, etc.).
Composer Max Richter constantly reinvents himself but always retains the same foundation in his compositions: the idea of evocative music. It is therefore no coincidence that his music can be heard in more than 30 films and series by composers such as Martin Scorsese (Shutter Island, 2010), Clint Eastwood (J. Edgar, 2011), André Téchiné (Impardonnables, 2011) and Ridley Scott (Prometheus, 2012).
