Camille Thomas | Voice Of Hope 1CD
"Camille Thomas produces a sound that I can only compare to drinking hot chocolate: delicious, warming, and full of flavor. You know immediately that you're in good hands. " – Gramophone magazine
The acclaimed French-Belgian cellist presents a selection of pieces representing love and hope on her second album on Deutsche Grammophon.
The album includes the world premiere of the cello concerto "Never Give Up" by Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say, known for his outspoken political beliefs and artistry. He wrote the concerto especially for Camille Thomas. The cellist plays it on the 1730 "Feuermann" Stradivarius, once owned by the renowned cellist Emanuel Feuermann.
