On Janine Jansen's new, highly anticipated album, the top violinist brings together twelve of the world's most precious instruments. Twelve Stradivarius violins, each with its own distinctive sound and character, once owned by legendary violinists. Along with pianist Antonio Pappano, she performs pieces by a diverse range of composers, including Elgar, Kreisler, Rachmaninoff, and Ravel. All the pieces have been carefully selected to highlight the individual qualities of the instruments.
