The work of Hans Rott has fallen into obscurity. The composer and organist, who only lived to be 25, earned great admiration for his compositions from colleagues Bruckner and Mahler. He left behind, among other works, only one symphony. This album features a convincing performance by the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra under the baton of chief conductor Jakub Hruša.
