Description
Released in 1967 and featuring Lonnie Liston Smith on piano, Ronnie Boykins on bass, and Grady Tate on drums, "Now Please Don't You Cry…" marked the beginning of Roland Kirk's groovy explorations that would eventually lead him to record "Blacknuss" (1971). It's vintage Kirk in a minimalist setting and is considered an essential Kirk album.
