Description
In April 1998, having won a Grammy for their album "Habana," Roy Hargrove's Crisol entered a studio in Guadalupe to record their follow-up album, "Grande-Terre." But afterward, the album remained shelved. For over 25 years, no one, including Crisol's bandmates, had ever heard it. "Grande-Terre" was created with the all-star cast of Roy's regular bandmates, including trombonist Frank Lacy, pianist Larry Willis, and drummer Willie Jones III. "Grande-Terre" showcases Hargrove's fiery playing, his superb compositions, and the band's incredible power and unique sound.
