Description
Communiqué is the second studio album by the British rock band Dire Straits, released in 1979. The album features a similar sound to their self-titled debut album, with a mix of rock, blues, and jazz influences and Mark Knopfler's distinctive guitar playing and songwriting.
The album includes some of Dire Straits' most well-known songs, including "Lady Writer" and "Communiqué," as well as fan favorites like "Once Upon a Time in the West" and "Single-Handed Sailor." The album's sound is polished and refined, with a focus on intricate guitar work and Knopfler's storytelling lyrics.
While not as commercially successful as their later albums, Communiqué is still highly regarded by fans and critics alike. The album showcases the band's signature sound and serves as an important milestone in their career. For fans of classic rock and guitar-driven music, Communiqué is a must-listen.
