In 1987, De Dijk experienced their definitive breakthrough with their fourth album, "Wakker In Een Vreemde Wereld" (Awake In A Strange World). It was the band's first album recorded for their new label, Mercury Records. The album featured the hit singles "Dansen Op De Vulkaan" (Dancing On The Volcano) and "Mag Het Licht Uit" (Let The Light Go), two songs that have since become indispensable to the band's extensive oeuvre. For the first time since its original release, "Wakker In Een Vreemde Wereld" is now released on LP, including a lyrics insert.
"Awake In A Strange World" is De Dijk's fourth studio album, first released in 1987.
