For inspiration for his debut album 'Everyday Magic,' Tim Dawn (Thijs Vroegop in real life) traveled to LA. There, in the mecca of pop music, he worked with various songwriters and producers on new songs. That time was a musical learning experience: "LA inspired me. I encountered a great mentality and a lot of talented people. On the other hand, in the mecca of modern pop productions, it also became very clear what I am not: the fast-paced guy who follows the latest trends. I prefer to be the honest, timeless singer-songwriter and artist."

On the album, Tim stays true to his roots: as a singer-songwriter who strives to create beautiful, melodic songs with meaning to add depth to life. Hopeful but not naive. Accessible but not superficial. His sound is fundamentally organic, but the layering and modern elements make the songs feel both fresh and timeless. In his lyrics, he seeks poetry in everyday things.

"And love is the ultimate example of everyday magic." Tim Dawn made his breakthrough in late 2018 with the single "Walking On A Wire," which became an NPO Radio 2 TopSong and was streamed millions of times on Spotify. His second single, "Bite The Bullet," also became an NPO Radio 2 TopSong. In December 2020, he followed with the hit "To Love Somebody," a Bee Gees cover that was featured in the Christmas commercial for PLUS supermarkets.
