The supergroup is a phenomenon with a long history in pop music. It's a band formed by members who have already had an extensive career under their own names. To make a long story short: Boygenius is such a supergroup. The band consists of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus. All three are American singers making a name for themselves in alternative folk. Their paths regularly cross, for example, when they open for each other at shows. They are also fans of each other's work. The idea of ​​starting a band together naturally arises. The name Boygenius is actually a joke. But a joke with a story.
