Bert Kaempfert is, besides James Last, perhaps the most famous and beloved composer, arranger, and conductor in the German music scene. This box set contains 5 CDs with an impressive 99 tracks and also includes a beautiful booklet with photos and extensive information about his life and work. Four CDs are organized thematically (Yesterday) and feature hits (think "A Swingin' Safari" or "Afrikaan Beat"), film scores, covers of famous artists, and jazz classics. The 5th CD (Today) features performances by contemporary greats such as Diana Krall, Caro Emerald, and Georgie Fame.
