Description
"His music is poetry—few other composers are able to evoke such powerful associations in me as Robert Schumann," writes Kian Soltani in the booklet accompanying his long-awaited Schumann album. Together with Camerata Salzburg, the young cellist—described by Gramophone as "pure perfection"—performs and conducts the monumental Cello Concerto, as well as several orchestrated songs. The album also includes song transcriptions for cello and piano by Soltani.
