Eefje De Visser 's hypnotic alternative pop continually explores what drives, divides, and unites people. After the success of her fourth album, " Bitterzoet, " she retreated to the studio to work exclusively on songs written during her tour, but also during the pandemic, her pregnancy, and the first days of motherhood. She will release her fifth studio album, "Heimwee," on September 13th . On this album, Eefje reveals herself as her most authentic self; an uncompromising songwriter, unique in translating her inner world into personal, timeless songs and dark, dreamy productions. The album describes, among other things, a loss of naiveté and open-mindedness, a longing for security, and simultaneously a need for breathing space and freedom. The singles "Heimwee," "Vlammen," and " Uit Het Oog," which preceded the album, demonstrate how Eefje de Visser is reinventing herself, with a new soundscape and layered lyrics.
