Het album ‘Our Man In Paris’ uit 1963 van Dexter Gordon was zijn eerste verzending vanuit Europa en wordt ook symbolisch beschouwd als het laatste bebopalbum. De saxofonist verzamelde een kwartet met bebop-legendes en mede-expats, met Bud Powell op piano en Kenny Clarke op drums samen met de Franse bassist Pierre Michelot, om deze klassieker aller tijden op te nemen in CBS Studios in Parijs.
